Visiting this website
This website does not include advertising trackers, analytics tags or an automatic social-media embed. Its images, video and design files are loaded from the website itself. The hosting provider may process technical connection data, such as IP addresses and requested pages, when delivering the website.
Messages and enquiries
The enquiry form prepares a message for WhatsApp. It does not submit your details to a website database or send an email. Your information is transferred to WhatsApp when you choose to continue there. You decide whether to send the message in WhatsApp. Contact information you send directly to the bar is used to respond to your enquiry.
Personal guestbook
Guestbook notes are stored in your browser’s local storage under the key aJoyBarGuestbookEntries. They remain on that device until cleared, and are not public reviews. Use “Clear my notes” on the guestbook page or your browser’s site-data settings to remove them. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to see saved notes.
External services and translation
Google Maps, Google reviews, Tripadvisor, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and WhatsApp open only when you follow a link. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. Google Translate is optional and is loaded only when you select “Load translation”. That connects to Google and may transfer page and connection data to provide translation. You can use your browser’s translation option instead.
Image credits
The food and drink menu images are the exact originals supplied with the previous website. They have not been redrawn or replaced by generated images. The owners, social/gallery and trip images also come from the supplied website. The pre-existing food overview image is reused from that collection.
The tropical cocktail hero image is AI-generated, and the background film animates that image. It is an atmosphere illustration, not a photograph of the venue, a sea view from the bar or a promise about a particular drink. The scooter drawing is illustrative; the available vehicle is confirmed on enquiry. The new wordmark and AJ favicon are a typographic adaptation of the existing A Joy Bar name and pink brand accent.
